Overview

Буквоед is a popular Russian word game that tests players' vocabulary and word-building skills. It is similar to Scrabble in concept, but with a unique twist that makes it both challenging and addictive.

Gameplay

For example, placing a vowel next to a consonant earns double the vowel's value, and using a "wildcard" tile (which can represent any letter) earns triple the letter's value.

Scoring

The goal of the game is to score the most points by forming words on the grid. Points are awarded based on the letter values and bonus points earned. The game ends when one player uses all of their tiles or when no more words can be formed.

Strategy

Using bonus letters wisely and blocking opponents from forming high-scoring words are also important strategies.
