Gameplay

Pueblo Bonito is a tile-laying game in which players compete to build the most prosperous pueblo by strategically placing tiles to create a bustling city. Each tile represents a different building or structure, such as houses, markets, temples, and plazas. Players take turns placing tiles on the game board, expanding their pueblo and gaining resources. The game ends when all the tiles have been placed, and the player with the most victory points wins.

* 80 Tiles (representing different buildings and structures)

* 100 Resource cubes (in five colors)

* 4 Player boards

* 4 Score markers

* 1 First player marker

Setup

1. Place the game board in the center of the table.

2. Shuffle the tiles and place them face down in a pile.

3. Each player chooses a player board and places it in front of them.

4. Place the resource cubes in a central location.

5. Randomly determine the first player.

Gameplay

On their turn, a player performs the following actions:

1. Place a Tile: Draw a tile from the pile and place it on the game board. Tiles must be placed adjacent to an existing tile, and the type of tile placed determines the resources gained.

2. Collect Resources: Each tile has one or more resource icons. When a player places a tile, they collect the resources indicated by the icons.

3. Build Structures: Players can use resources to build structures on their player boards. Structures provide special abilities or bonuses.

4. Expand the Pueblo: As players place tiles, they expand their pueblo. The size and shape of the pueblo determine the player's score.

Scoring

Players earn victory points based on the following factors:

* Pueblo Size: The number of tiles in the player's pueblo.

* Structures Built: The number and type of structures built.

* Resource Wealth: The number and diversity of resources collected.

End of the Game

The game ends when all the tiles have been placed. Players tally their victory points, and the player with the most points wins.
