Summary

T.V. Westfalia Halingen is a German football club based in the town of Halingen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Founded in 1920, the club currently competes in the Kreisliga A Lippstadt, the ninth tier of the German football league system.

History

The club was established in 1920 as Turnverein Westfalia Halingen and initially played in local amateur leagues. In the post-World War II era, Westfalia Halingen gradually rose through the ranks, reaching the Bezirksliga Westfalen (seventh tier) in 1970.

The club's most successful period came in the 1980s, when it won promotion to the Landesliga Westfalen (sixth tier) in 1982. Westfalia Halingen remained in the Landesliga for several seasons before being relegated back to the Bezirksliga in 1989.

In the following decades, the club fluctuated between the Bezirksliga and Kreisliga A, with occasional promotions and relegations. In 2020, Westfalia Halingen was relegated to the Kreisliga A Lippstadt, where it currently plays.

Stadium

T.V. Westfalia Halingen plays its home matches at the Sportplatz Halingen, a small stadium with a capacity of approximately 1,000 spectators. The stadium features a natural grass pitch and basic amenities.

Current Status

In the 2022-23 season, T.V. Westfalia Halingen finished in 11th place in the Kreisliga A Lippstadt. The club has a small but dedicated fan base and continues to promote football in the local community.
