Objective:

TripTrap is a captivating strategy game where players aim to trap their opponents' marbles while protecting their own. The ultimate goal is to be the last player with marbles remaining on the board.

Gameplay:

The game is played on a hexagonal board with 37 holes arranged in a honeycomb pattern. Each player starts with 10 marbles placed in specific holes. Players take turns moving their marbles one hole at a time, either forward, backward, or sideways.

Trapping:

The key mechanic of TripTrap is trapping. When a player's marble lands in a hole adjacent to two of their opponent's marbles, those marbles are trapped and removed from the board. However, if a player's marble is trapped, they can escape by jumping over one of their opponent's marbles in an adjacent hole.

Blocking:

Players can also block their opponents' moves by placing their marbles in strategic positions. If a player's marble is blocked, they cannot move it until the blocking marble is removed.

Special Moves:

TripTrap introduces special moves that add depth to the gameplay. These include:

* Leap: A marble can jump over multiple marbles in a row, landing in the hole beyond.

* Charge: A marble can move two holes in a single turn, but only forward or backward.

* Guard: A marble becomes immune to being trapped for one turn.

Winning:

The game continues until only one player has marbles remaining on the board. This player is declared the winner.

Variations:

TripTrap offers several variations to cater to different preferences and skill levels. These variations include:

* Speed Trap: Players can only move their marbles in a clockwise direction.

* Corner Trap: Marbles can only be trapped in corner holes.

* No Escape: Trapped marbles cannot escape by jumping.
