How to play 101 Okey game:
Okey 101 is played in multiple rounds with four players. The aim of this game is to finish the game with as few points as possible. The player with the fewest points at the end of all rounds is the winner of the game. Points are determined by the numbers on the remaining pieces (example: a red 3 = three points, a black 11 = 11 points). The game may end when there are no stones left to draw from the deck, or it may end when one of the players completes his hand.
Getting Started with the Game:
After one player from among the players is designated as the dealer, the dealer distributes 21 stones to each player and 22 stones to the one on his right arm. One piece remains open while the remaining pieces remain upside down on the table. This open piece determines the joker (OKEY piece). The game is played counterclockwise. The player who has 22 stones in the right hand of the person who distributes the stone starts the game and this player throws a stone without drawing a stone. Then he plays to his right. Each player whose turn it is either draws a stone from the deck or takes the last stone thrown by the previous player. After the player has drawn, if the sum of the series in his hand reaches 101, he can open his hand (putting the series he has put on the table). When the player opens his hand, he puts the series in his hand next to the other series pieces on the table. If the player cannot turn a stone on the table, he throws a stone on the table and avoids his turn. The player whose turn it is to play must complete his turn by throwing a stone on the table, even if he opens his whole hand, he has to throw the last stone on the table.
Joker (Okey Stone or Risk):
The stone that determines the joker (okey stone) changes every game. Two wild cards (also called fake jokers) represent the number one above the open standing stone. Jokers have a different appearance from other standard pieces. The numbers on the real jokers (each piece can be a joker "okey piece" in different games according to the opened piece) are represented by 'fake jokers'. For example, if the indicator stone is a blue 5, the real jokers are the two blue 6s in play. Joker pieces (fake jokers) are valued as a blue 6.
Perler and Opening:
You must have at least 101 points to open a hand. To open a hand, you must have 3 or 4 sets of different colors with the same number (eg black 5, red 5 and one blue 5) or a sequential set of numbers of the same colors (eg red 7,8,9). There must be a minimum of 3 tiles in a set. In order to add stones to the existing opened stones, the player must have opened his hand by reaching the minimum number of 101. During the same game, you can both open your hand and add to other unlocked sets. If the player takes the stone thrown by the previous player, he has to use this piece. If the player who took this thrown stone has not opened his hand yet, he must open his hand when he receives this stone and this stone must have been used in one of the sets he opened. This taken stone is not allowed to stay in your hand in the cue. If this stone cannot be used for building a set or opening a hand, this stone is put back and a stone is drawn from the deck. No penalty points are awarded for this mistake.
Couples :
Another way to open the hand is to collect at least five pairs of stones. It is understood from the couple that they are two similar stones. If the player opens the game by going double once, he cannot open a normal set again in this game. However, he can add stones to the sets on the table that other players have opened. If all four players at the table open pairs in the same game, this round will be canceled and a new game will be started. No player gets penalty points in this game.

101 Okey: A Comprehensive Overview101 Okey, also known as Turkish Okey, is a captivating tile-based game of strategy and luck that has gained immense popularity worldwide. The game is played with a set of 106 tiles, including 104 numbered tiles and 2 joker tiles. The objective of the game is to be the first player to meld all their tiles into sets and runs, achieving a total score of 101 or more points.
Gameplay
The game begins with each player being dealt 21 tiles. One tile is placed face up in the center of the table to start the discard pile. Players take turns drawing tiles from either the draw pile or the discard pile and attempting to meld them into sets and runs.
Melds
Sets consist of three or four tiles of the same number, while runs consist of three or more consecutive numbered tiles of the same suit. Jokers can be used as wild cards to complete sets or runs.
Scoring
When a player melds a set or run, they score points based on the tiles used. Numbered tiles score their face value, while jokers score 30 points each. If a player melds all their tiles in one turn, they receive an additional bonus of 50 points.
101
The ultimate goal of the game is to achieve a score of 101 or more points by melding all of their tiles. If a player reaches 101 or more points before anyone else, they win the game.
Variations
101 Okey has several variations, including:
* Straight Okey: The most common variation, where players aim to meld all their tiles without using jokers.
* With Jokers: Jokers are allowed to be used in sets and runs.
* Open Okey: Players can see each other's melded tiles.
* Closed Okey: Players cannot see each other's melded tiles.
Strategy
Winning at 101 Okey requires a combination of strategy and luck. Some key strategies include:
* Draw wisely: Choose tiles that can potentially complete your melded sets or runs.
* Discard strategically: Discard tiles that you do not need and that are unlikely to be useful to your opponents.
* Block your opponents: Try to prevent your opponents from completing their melded sets or runs.
* Use jokers wisely: Jokers can be used to complete sets or runs, but they can also be used to block your opponents.
Conclusion
101 Okey is a highly engaging and strategic game that has captured the hearts of players worldwide. Its simple rules, exciting gameplay, and social aspect make it an ideal choice for family gatherings, game nights, and tournaments. Whether you are a seasoned player or a beginner, 101 Okey offers an unforgettable gaming experience that will keep you entertained for hours on end.
