Overview

7 Λέξεις is a Greek word game that combines elements of crossword puzzles and Scrabble. The game is played on a 7x7 grid, and players must use their tiles to form words that connect to the center star. Words can be formed horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, and each word must be at least three letters long. Players score points for each word they form, and the player with the highest score at the end of the game wins.

Gameplay

The game is played with a set of 100 tiles, each of which has a letter on it. Players take turns drawing tiles from a bag and placing them on the board. The first player to place a tile on the center star starts the game.

Players can place tiles on the board to form words that connect to the center star. Words can be formed horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Each word must be at least three letters long.

If a player cannot form a word, they must pass their turn. The game continues until all of the tiles have been drawn from the bag.

Scoring

Players score points for each word they form. The number of points awarded for a word depends on the length of the word and the number of letters used.

* Words of three letters are worth 1 point.

* Words of four letters are worth 2 points.

* Words of five letters are worth 3 points.

* Words of six letters are worth 4 points.

* Words of seven letters are worth 5 points.

Players also receive bonus points for using certain tiles.

* Tiles with the letters Α, Ε, Ι, Ο, and Υ are worth 1 point each.

* Tiles with the letters Β, Γ, Δ, Θ, Κ, Λ, Μ, Ν, Π, Ρ, Σ, Τ, Φ, Χ, and Ψ are worth 2 points each.

* Tiles with the letters Ζ, Ξ, and Ω are worth 3 points each.

Strategy

There are a number of strategies that players can use to improve their chances of winning.

* Try to form words that use high-scoring tiles. Tiles with the letters Α, Ε, Ι, Ο, and Υ are worth 1 point each, while tiles with the letters Β, Γ, Δ, Θ, Κ, Λ, Μ, Ν, Π, Ρ, Σ, Τ, Φ, Χ, and Ψ are worth 2 points each. Tiles with the letters Ζ, Ξ, and Ω are worth 3 points each.

* Try to form words that connect to multiple other words. This will give you a higher score than forming words that are isolated from the rest of the board.

* Try to block your opponents from forming words. If you can see that your opponent is about to form a word, you can try to block them by placing a tile on the board that will prevent them from completing the word.

* Don't be afraid to pass your turn. If you cannot form a word, it is better to pass your turn than to place a tile on the board that will give your opponent a high score.
