Fireman! is a thrilling arcade game released in 1981 by Bally Midway. The player takes control of a brave firefighter tasked with extinguishing fires and rescuing civilians trapped in burning buildings.

Gameplay

The game is played on a vertical screen that represents a burning building. The firefighter, equipped with a water hose, can move left, right, and up and down the building. Fires erupt randomly throughout the building, and the firefighter must quickly spray water to put them out.

As the player progresses, the fires become more intense and the building becomes increasingly hazardous. Falling debris, collapsing floors, and exploding gas tanks pose constant threats to the firefighter's safety.

Objectives

The primary objective of Fireman! is to rescue civilians trapped in the burning building. Civilians are represented by small figures that appear at random locations on the screen. The firefighter must move quickly to reach the civilians and escort them to safety.

In addition to rescuing civilians, the firefighter must also extinguish all the fires in the building. Each fire extinguished earns points, and the player receives bonus points for rescuing civilians.

Controls

Fireman! is controlled using a joystick and two buttons. The joystick moves the firefighter around the building, while the buttons are used to spray water and rescue civilians.
