Barometer is a cooperative deck-building game for 2-4 players where players take on the roles of weather forecasters tasked with predicting the weather patterns and mitigating their effects on a coastal town.

Gameplay

The game is played over a series of rounds, with each round representing a day in the town. During each round, players draw cards from their deck and play them to perform actions. Actions include:

* Forecast: Predicting the weather for the next day.

* Prepare: Taking actions to mitigate the effects of the weather, such as building seawalls or distributing supplies.

* Endure: Weathering the storm and assessing the damage caused by the weather.

The weather forecast is crucial as it determines the severity of the weather events that occur during the round. If players correctly predict the weather, they can mitigate its effects and minimize damage to the town. However, if they mispredict the weather, the town suffers more damage.

Deck Building

As the game progresses, players can add new cards to their decks by purchasing them from the market. New cards provide more powerful actions and abilities, allowing players to better predict and prepare for the weather.

Cooperation

Cooperation is essential in Barometer. Players must work together to make accurate forecasts, prepare for the weather, and endure the storms. They can share information, coordinate their actions, and support each other to minimize the damage to the town.

Winning

The game ends when the town has survived a certain number of days or when it has been destroyed by the weather. If the town survives, all players win. If the town is destroyed, all players lose.
