Introduction:

IGITABO CY'UMUGENZI is a traditional Rwandan board game that has been played for centuries. It is a strategy game that is similar to checkers or draughts. The game is played on an 8x8 board with 16 pieces on each side. The pieces are called "inkombe" and they move diagonally across the board.

Gameplay:

The goal of the game is to capture all of your opponent's pieces or to block them so that they cannot move. Players take turns moving one of their pieces. Pieces can move forward or backward, but they cannot move sideways. If a piece lands on a square that is occupied by an opponent's piece, it captures the opponent's piece and removes it from the board.

Special Moves:

There are two special moves that can be made in IGITABO CY'UMUGENZI. The first move is called a "double jump." A double jump occurs when a piece captures two of your opponent's pieces in a single move. The second move is called a "triple jump." A triple jump occurs when a piece captures three of your opponent's pieces in a single move.

Winning the Game:

The game is won when one player captures all of their opponent's pieces or when one player blocks their opponent so that they cannot move.

There are many different variations of IGITABO CY'UMUGENZI. Some variations use a larger board, while others use a smaller board. Some variations also use different rules for movement and capturing.
