Símarómur is a speech synthesizer app for Icelandic. It enables users to have an Icelandic interface, websites, messages and other texts read in Icelandic. At present, the Icelandic voices are only available through web services, but the aim is to add voices that can be installed on the phone.

Privacy

The texts to be read by the application are sent to the web server of the processor, which creates voice versions of the texts. No user information, such as phone IPs, is collected through Telephony. All texts and audio recordings are deleted at the same time and therefore no texts or other information from users are stored by the system.
