Tiggemann is a classic German children's game similar to tag. It is typically played outdoors in a large area with at least three players.

Objective

The objective of Tiggemann is to avoid being tagged by the "tiger" while also trying to tag other players to become the new tiger.

Gameplay

1. Start: One player is chosen to be the "tiger" and stands in the center of the playing area. The other players stand outside the circle.

2. Chase: The tiger chases the other players, trying to tag them.

3. Tagging: If the tiger tags a player, that player becomes the new tiger and the chase continues.

4. Safe Zones: There may be designated safe zones within the playing area where players cannot be tagged. These zones can provide a temporary respite from the chase.

5. Elimination: Players who are tagged are eliminated from the game. The last player remaining becomes the winner.

Variations

There are many variations of Tiggemann, including:

* Tiggemann mit Gefangenen (Tiggemann with Prisoners): Eliminated players are held in a designated "prison" and can be freed by other players.

* Tiggemann mit Hindernissen (Tiggemann with Obstacles): Obstacles are placed in the playing area to make it more challenging for the tiger to chase the other players.

* Tiggemann mit Musik: Music is played during the game, and players must stop chasing when the music stops.
