Twenty-nine or 29 (it is also called 28 sometimes with minor variations in rules) is a very famous card game which is played by four players in fixed partnerships. The players facing each other are partners. The game is played with 32 cards comprising of 8 cards from each suit. Jack (3 points), Nine (2 points), Ace (1 point) and Ten (1 point) are the only cards which have points. Thus making a total of 28 points. The teams need to bid and set a target for themselves and then achieve it. The player who wins the bid gets to set the trump suit thus biasing the game towards them. The opponents need to achieve 29 - (bid) to stop the bid winner team from winning the game. This is where the game gets its name '29'.

Introduction
Card Game 29, also known as Knock, is a popular trick-taking card game played with a standard 52-card deck. The game's objective is to be the first player or team to reach a score of 29 points by winning tricks and fulfilling contracts.
Gameplay
The game is played with 4 players in two partnerships. The players sit opposite their partners, and the deck is shuffled and dealt evenly among them.
Bidding
Before the first trick, each player bids on the number of tricks they believe their partnership will win. The minimum bid is 1, and the maximum bid is 13. Players can also bid "knock," which means they believe they will win all 13 tricks.
Tricks
Once the bidding is complete, the player to the left of the dealer leads the first trick. Players must follow suit if possible, but if they cannot, they can play any card. The highest card of the suit led wins the trick, unless a trump card is played.
Trump
One suit is designated as the trump suit for the hand. Trump cards are always higher than non-trump cards. The trump suit is determined by the suit of the first trick won.
Scoring
Points are scored for each trick won. A trick is worth 1 point, unless it contains a jack, queen, king, or ace, which are worth 2, 3, 4, and 5 points respectively. If a partnership wins more tricks than they bid, they earn the points they bid. If they win fewer tricks, they lose the points they bid.
Knock
If a partnership bids "knock" and wins all 13 tricks, they earn 29 points. However, if they fail to win all 13 tricks, they lose 13 points.
Winning
The first partnership to reach 29 points wins the game. If both partnerships reach 29 points on the same hand, the partnership with the higher score wins.
Variations
