Dominoes is a classic strategy board game for two or more players that involves matching tiles with the same number of pips on their faces. The game is played with a set of rectangular tiles, each divided into two square ends. Each end is marked with a number of pips, ranging from zero to six.

Objective

The objective of dominoes is to be the first player to get rid of all their tiles. Players score points for the tiles remaining in their opponents' hands at the end of the game.

Setup

To set up the game, the tiles are shuffled face down and placed in a central pile called the "boneyard." Each player draws seven tiles from the boneyard. The remaining tiles are left face down to form the "stock."

Gameplay

The player with the highest double (a tile with the same number of pips on both ends) starts the game. They place the double in the center of the table. The next player must then match one of their tiles to either end of the double, with the matching number of pips. For example, if the starting double is a 5-5, the next player could play a 5-2 or a 5-6.

If a player cannot match a tile, they must draw from the stock until they can. If the stock is empty, the player passes their turn.
