Knuckle Nightmare is a 2D side-scrolling beat 'em up video game developed by SNK and released for the Neo Geo arcade system in 1992. It is the third installment in the Art of Fighting series, following Art of Fighting and Art of Fighting 2. The game introduces several new characters and features, including the ability to play as one of four different bosses.

The story of Knuckle Nightmare takes place after the events of Art of Fighting 2. Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia have defeated Mr. Karate and Geese Howard, but the criminal organization known as Mephistopheles is still at large. Ryo and Robert set out to find and defeat Mephistopheles' leader, a mysterious man known only as the King.

Along the way, Ryo and Robert are joined by several new allies, including Kasumi Todoh, a kunoichi who is seeking revenge for the death of her father; and Marco Rodriguez, a luchador who is looking for a worthy opponent. The group also encounters several new enemies, including the deadly assassin, Ryuhaku Todoh; and the giant wrestler, Wolfgang Krauser.
