Introduction

Gameplay

The game is played on a hexagonal grid consisting of 19 cells. Each player controls 12 pieces, which are initially placed on the outer ring of the grid. Players take turns moving their pieces one cell at a time, following specific movement rules.

Movement Rules

* Normal Movement: Pieces can move one cell in any direction (up, down, left, right, or diagonally).

* Jumping: If a piece lands on a cell occupied by an opponent's piece, it can jump over it and capture it, removing it from the board.

* Double Jump: If a piece jumps over an opponent's piece, it can continue to jump over additional pieces in the same direction, capturing them all.

Objective

The objective of Noumi is to capture all of the opponent's pieces or block them from moving. A player wins when the opponent has no legal moves remaining.

Strategy

Noumi requires a combination of strategic planning and tactical decision-making. Players must consider the following strategies:

* Control the Center: Controlling the central cells of the grid provides greater mobility and allows for better defense.

* Protect Your Pieces: Avoid exposing your pieces to capture by placing them behind other pieces or in safe positions.

* Attack Weaknesses: Identify and exploit gaps in the opponent's defense to capture their pieces or force them into unfavorable positions.

* Create Chains: Connecting multiple pieces in a row or column increases their mobility and capture potential.

* Plan Ahead: Anticipate the opponent's moves and plan your own accordingly to gain an advantage.

Noumi has several variations that add complexity and variety to the gameplay:

* Hexi-Noumi: Played on a hexagonal grid with larger cells.
