Introduction

Rummikub® is a thrilling and challenging tile-based game that combines strategy, skill, and a touch of luck. With its origins in Romania, Rummikub® has gained immense popularity worldwide, captivating players of all ages.

Gameplay

The game is played with 106 tiles, including:

* 104 numbered tiles (2 sets of 1-13 in four different colors: black, red, blue, and orange)

* 2 joker tiles

The goal of the game is to be the first player to meld all of their tiles into valid combinations. A valid combination is either a run (three or more consecutive tiles of the same color) or a group (three or more tiles of the same number in different colors).

Game Setup

* Shuffle the tiles and deal 14 tiles to each player.

* The remaining tiles form the draw pile.

* One tile is drawn from the draw pile and placed face up to start the discard pile.

Gameplay Sequence

* On their turn, a player must either:

* Meld tiles from their hand into valid combinations on the table.

* Pick up a tile from the discard pile and add it to their hand.

* Draw a tile from the draw pile and add it to their hand.

* If a player melds all of their tiles, they "go out" and win the game.

* If a player cannot make a meld or draw a tile, they must pass their turn.

Scoring

* When a player goes out, they receive points for the tiles remaining in their opponents' hands.

* Joker tiles are worth 30 points.

* All other tiles are worth their face value.

* The player with the lowest score after a predetermined number of rounds wins the game.

Strategy

* Meld Early: Getting rid of high-point tiles early can significantly reduce your score.

* Control the Discard Pile: Monitor the discard pile to prevent opponents from picking up tiles you need.

* Use Jokers Wisely: Jokers can be used to complete runs or groups, but they should be used strategically to maximize their value.

* Block Opponents: Meld combinations that make it difficult for opponents to complete their own melds.

* Pay Attention to the Table: Keep track of the tiles that have been melded to identify potential opportunities and threats.
