Simply 21 - BlackjackObjective:
The goal of Simply 21 is to beat the dealer by having a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer's hand, without exceeding 21 (busting).
Gameplay:
1. Place Bet: Players start by placing a bet.
2. Deal Cards: The dealer deals two cards to each player and two cards to themselves, one of their cards facing up.
3. Player's Turn: Players can choose to:
- Hit: Take another card.
- Stand: Keep their current hand.
- Double Down: Double their bet and receive one more card.
- Split: If the player has two cards of the same value, they can split them into two separate hands.
4. Dealer's Turn: Once all players have finished their turns, the dealer reveals their face-down card. The dealer must hit until they reach a hand value of 17 or higher, or bust.
5. Payout:
- If the player's hand value is closer to 21 than the dealer's, the player wins and receives a payout of 1:1.
- If the player and dealer have the same hand value, it is a push and the player's bet is returned.
- If the player busts, they lose their bet.
- If the dealer busts, all players who did not bust win.
Special Rules:
- Blackjack: A hand consisting of an ace and a 10-value card (jack, queen, king) pays out 3:2.
- Insurance: If the dealer's face-up card is an ace, players can purchase insurance against the dealer having a blackjack. If the dealer does have a blackjack, the insurance pays out 2:1.
- Surrender: Players can surrender half of their bet after the dealer has checked for blackjack.
Tips for Winning:
- Understand Basic Strategy: There are optimal strategies for each possible combination of player and dealer cards.
- Manage Your Bankroll: Set a budget and stick to it.
- Avoid Insurance: Insurance is a bad bet in most situations.
- Use Surrender Wisely: Surrender can be a good option when the dealer has a strong hand and you have a weak hand.
