Overview:

Timeline Up is a cooperative card game where players work together to arrange a series of events in chronological order. The game is played with a deck of cards, each of which depicts an event and a date. Players take turns playing cards from their hands to a central timeline, attempting to place them in the correct chronological order. If a card is placed incorrectly, it is discarded and the player draws a new card. The game continues until all cards have been placed or the players have run out of cards.

Gameplay:

* Setup: Shuffle the deck of cards and deal 4 cards to each player. Place the remaining cards in a face-down pile in the center of the table.

* Gameplay: The first player chooses a card from their hand and places it face up on the table to start the timeline. The card can be placed anywhere in the timeline, but it must be placed so that the date on the card is visible.

* Taking Turns: On their turn, a player can do one of the following:

* Play a card from their hand onto the timeline. The card must be placed adjacent to an existing card and must be placed in the correct chronological order.

* Draw a card from the deck.

* Discard a card from their hand.

* Checking the Timeline: After a player has played a card, the timeline is checked for accuracy. If the timeline is incorrect, the card that was just played is discarded and the player draws a new card.

* Winning: The game is won if all cards are placed correctly on the timeline. The game is lost if the players run out of cards and the timeline is still incomplete.

Variations:

* Solo Play: Timeline Up can be played solo by using a variant set of rules. In solo play, the player attempts to arrange the cards in chronological order without any help from other players.

* Advanced Play: There are several advanced play options available for Timeline Up, including:

* Challenge Mode: In Challenge Mode, players are given a limited number of cards and must arrange them in chronological order without making any mistakes.

* Team Play: In Team Play, players work together in teams to arrange the cards in chronological order.

* Tournament Play: In Tournament Play, players compete against each other to see who can arrange the cards in chronological order the fastest.
